The interview with Clyde Butcher

Yesterday was the big day.  Shannon and I packed up the recording gear and the microphones and drove clear across Florida to Clyde Butcher's gallery and darkroom in Venice Fl.  We excitedly chatted about the interview on the three hour drive that took us just south of Lake Okeechobee.  Florida's big sky and farm country rolled by as we thought about meeting the photographer we have both admired for a long time.  Clyde did not disappoint!  we toured the gallery and darkroom and then sat down to an interview that lasted over an hour.  Shannon and I decided to split the interview into two parts and it will appear as two episodes on the Flying Tortuga Brothers Podcast.  The link here is to part one of the interview.

Here are a few photos taken while we were at the gallery with Clyde.

We'd like to thank Clyde for his generosity of time and sharing his wisdom on photography, the Everglades, art, the National Parks and the environment.  It was a great afternoon spent with one of my favorite all-time photographers.

Loggerhead 2020 or bust!
